Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast in Kampala, you will meet your professional driver-guide for a safari briefing before departing for Murchison Falls National Park. En route, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking before continuing to the park. Upon arrival, you will enjoy views of the powerful Nile River as it forces its way through a narrow gorge at Murchison Falls. You will then proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
After an early breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive where you may spot elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and various antelope species. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile, offering sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a wide variety of bird species including the shoebill stork. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you will depart for Kibale Forest National Park, traveling through scenic landscapes of the Albertine Rift Valley with views of Lake Albert and the Rwenzori Mountains. You will stop in Fort Portal for lunch and enjoy a cultural visit to the Toro Kingdom. Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will proceed to Kibale Forest for a chimpanzee trekking experience. Following a briefing at the park headquarters, you will trek through the rainforest in search of chimpanzees and other primates such as colobus monkeys, mangabeys, and baboons. After the trek, return for lunch and continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game viewing drive. Check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start your day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hyenas, and other wildlife species. After lunch at the lodge, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its large concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and rich birdlife including kingfishers, pelicans, and storks. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will drive through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions, before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy scenic views along the way and stop for lunch en route. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, and relax.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking and Nature Walk
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla trekking adventure. You will trek through dense forest terrain in search of a habituated gorilla family and spend one hour with them once located. After the trek, enjoy a community visit or nature walk to nearby villages to experience local culture before returning to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda
After breakfast, you will cross into Rwanda via the Katuna border and drive to Volcanoes National Park. This scenic journey offers views of Rwanda’s famous rolling hills and volcanic peaks including Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, and Sabinyo. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing and cultural entertainment before beginning your gorilla trekking experience. You will hike through the forest in search of a gorilla family and spend one hour observing them once found. After the trek, you will receive a trekking certificate and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Kigali City Tour and Departure
After breakfast, you will drive to Kigali for a city tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and craft centers. After lunch, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your safari.
