Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Welcome to Uganda! After your arrival at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala, begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The scenic drive (6-7 hours) takes you through Uganda’s picturesque countryside, where you’ll pass charming villages, lush farmlands, and rolling hills, offering a true sense of the country’s beauty.

Upon arrival at the park, you’ll check into your lodge, situated on the park’s edge, with stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. After settling in, enjoy a relaxing dinner, taking in the natural sounds of the African bush.

This evening marks the start of your adventure in Uganda’s wildlife-rich region. Rest up and prepare for the exciting days ahead, where incredible wildlife experiences await in one of Africa’s most iconic parks.

 Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Start the day with an early game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalo, and leopards. Your guide will take you to prime viewing areas, showcasing the park’s diverse landscapes of savannah, wetlands, and forests.

After the game drive, return to your lodge for a relaxing breakfast before your afternoon adventure.

In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This tranquil waterway is home to hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. The boat ride offers an incredible close-up view of wildlife along the banks.

End the day with a return to your lodge, where you can unwind and enjoy a delicious dinner while reflecting on the day’s incredible experiences.

Day 3: Exit from Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi via Ishasha Sector

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. En route, drive through the Ishasha Sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. These rare lions are often seen lounging in the branches of fig trees, offering a unique wildlife experience.

Continue your journey toward Bwindi, passing through rolling hills, terraced farms, and lush forests. The drive takes about 4-5 hours, offering stunning views of Uganda’s natural beauty.

Upon arrival in Bwindi, check into your lodge, nestled in the forest with beautiful views. Relax in the tranquil surroundings, and prepare for the thrilling gorilla trekking adventure that awaits the next day.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Today, after an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and safety. Then, guided by experienced trackers, you’ll venture into the dense jungle to find a family of mountain gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, but the reward is a close, unforgettable encounter with these magnificent creatures.

After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-earned lunch and relaxation. Later, depart for Lake Bunyonyi, a peaceful and picturesque lake known for its serene beauty and numerous islands. The drive takes about 2-3 hours, and upon arrival, you’ll check into your lakeside lodge

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala with a Stop at the Equator

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala, driving through Uganda’s scenic landscapes. Along the way, stop for an enroute lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy traditional Ugandan cuisine while admiring the countryside views.

Next, make a memorable stop at the Equator, where you can stand in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres at the same time. Take photos and learn about this fascinating geographical landmark.

Continue your drive to Kampala, where you’ll arrive in the late afternoon or evening, bringing your 5-day adventure to a close.
