10 Days Epic Safari Adventure

Embark on a thrilling 10-day safari journey through East Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations, starting from Rwanda. Explore the dense rainforests of Bwindi for a chance to see endangered mountain gorillas, and then venture into the Masai Mara for spectacular game drives. Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda

Welcome to Rwanda! Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our safari guide who will also brief you about your tour and transferred to your comfortable accommodation for the night. Take some time to relax and kill the jetlag, enjoying the serene surroundings of Kigali as you prepare for the exciting adventure ahead. Dinner will be served at your hotel, and overnight accommodation will be provided in Kigali.

Day 2: Kigali Genocide Memorial & Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a deeply moving site dedicated to the memory of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. Explore its exhibits, learn about Rwanda’s history, and pay tribute to the victims of this tragic event. This visit offers a powerful insight into the resilience of the Rwandan people.

Following the memorial visit, have lunch and embark on a scenic drive towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda, known for its gorilla trekking experiences. The journey offers stunning views of the Rwandan and Ugandan countryside, with lush hills and rolling landscapes. After crossing the border, continue to your lodge in Bwindi, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and rest for the night. Prepare for the exciting adventure that awaits in the heart of gorilla territory.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today is the highlight of your adventure! After an early breakfast, head to the Bwindi Park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette. Then, embark on your trek into the dense, misty forest, guided by experienced trackers. The journey through Bwindi’s rugged terrain, climbing hills, crossing streams, and navigating thick vegetation is both challenging and thrilling.

After some hours of trekking, you’ll reach one of the gorilla families. Spend a magical hour observing these magnificent creatures up close as they feed, play, and interact. The experience is nothing short of awe-inspiring, offering a rare, intimate connection with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to your lodge to relax, share stories, and reflect on this life-changing experience. Enjoy a delicious dinner and rest as you prepare for the next chapter of your safari journey.

Day 4: Transfer from Bwindi to Rwanda & Flight to Nairobi

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Rwanda. You’ll be driven through scenic landscapes as you cross the border, taking in the lush hills and picturesque views along the way. Once in Rwanda, you’ll be transferred to the airport in Kigali.

Upon arrival, catch a short flight to Nairobi, the bustling capital of Kenya, known for its vibrant culture and gateway to the famous Masai Mara. After landing, your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation. Settle in, enjoy some leisure time, and prepare for the exciting days ahead in Kenya’s wildlife-rich heartlands.

Dinner will be served at your hotel, and you’ll have the evening to relax or choose to explore the Nairobi nightlife before your safari adventures in Masai Mara begin. Our safari guide will be at hand to drive you at the venue of your choice.

Day 5: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your Nairobi hotel and begin your Kenya safari adventure to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. Your drive takes you through the stunning Great Rift Valley, where you’ll stop briefly to admire the breathtaking views and browse the curio shops. Continue the journey with a short stop in Narok Town for refreshments and a restroom break.

As you approach Masai Mara, enjoy a game drive en route before reaching your lodge in time for check-in and lunch. After settling in, spend the afternoon at leisure, exploring the lodge’s facilities. In the late afternoon, head out for an exciting introductory game drive in the Mara. If you’re visiting during the Great Migration, you’ll be treated to the spectacle of wildebeests and zebras crossing the plains. Outside of migration season, the Mara still offers incredible game viewing, including opportunities to spot the Big Five.

Day 6: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive through the vast and wildlife-rich Masai Mara. Accompanied by your expert guide, you’ll explore the reserve’s diverse ecosystems, from open savannahs to riverine forests, in search of the Big Five lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. If you’re visiting during the Great Migration, you’ll witness the awe-inspiring herds of wildebeests and zebras as they traverse the plains in search of greener pastures.

Along the way, stop for a delicious picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by nature’s beauty. The Mara is teeming with other wildlife, including cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and an array of bird species, so there’s always something fascinating to spot.

As the sun begins to set, return to your lodge for a relaxing evening, sharing stories of your thrilling day of game viewing. Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and unwind before another exciting day in the Mara.

Day 7: Transfer from Masai Mara to Serengeti

After breakfast, begin your journey from Masai Mara to Serengeti, crossing the border at Isebania. The drive offers scenic views of the surrounding countryside as you enter Tanzania. Upon arrival at Serengeti National Park, enjoy a short game drive en route to your lodge, where you’ll likely spot wildlife such as lions, giraffes, and zebras.

After check-in, savor a delicious lunch at your lodge, then relax and take in the stunning landscape. Known for its vast plains and rich wildlife, the Serengeti is home to an abundance of animals, including the Big Five. Depending on the season, you may also witness the incredible Great Migration. As the day comes to an end, enjoy a good dinner, reflecting on the wildlife experiences of the day before resting for the night.

Day 8: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in the vast Serengeti National Park. Accompanied by your expert guide, explore the park’s diverse landscapes, from its open savannahs to its riverine areas. The Serengeti is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and buffaloes, as well as numerous species of birds.

As you drive through the park, stop for a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by nature. Your guide will share insights into the Serengeti’s ecosystem, offering a deeper understanding of the animals and their behaviors. If you’re visiting during the Great Migration, you’ll have the chance to witness the dramatic river crossings and large herds of wildebeests and zebras.

In the late afternoon, continue your game drive, keeping an eye out for predators in action or animals as they begin to gather around watering holes. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation, reflecting on a day filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Day 9: Exploration of Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your lodge, then check out and begin your scenic drive through the lush, high-altitude farmland of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder home to a rich diversity of wildlife. With your packed picnic lunch in hand, spend the day exploring the crater’s expansive grasslands, where you’ll encounter elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo, zebras, and more. The crater is also famous for its dense lion population and the large herds of wildebeest and gazelles that roam its floor.

Visit Lake Magadi, a soda lake often dotted with pink flamingos. As the day draws to a close, ascend 600 meters to the crater rim, where you’ll transfer to your lodge for check-in. enjoy a well-deserved dinner and reflect on the incredible wildlife experiences before retiring for the night.

 Day 10: Transfer from Ngorongoro to Arusha

After breakfast, check out and begin your scenic drive back to Arusha. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Ngorongoro Highlands as you pass through small villages and lush farmland. Upon arrival in Arusha, you’ll have time for a relaxing lunch and to reflect on your incredible safari adventure. If time allows, you can explore the town’s vibrant markets or visit a cultural site to learn more about local Maasai traditions.

In the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight. As your 10-day safari journey comes to an end, take with you the unforgettable memories of wildlife encounters, stunning landscapes, and the magic of East Africa.
