Detailed 5 Days of Uganda Safari Program
Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. On arrival, you’ll enjoy a thrilling rhino tracking experience on foot, guided by expert rangers. This is a rare opportunity to observe these majestic creatures in their natural environment while learning about the vital conservation efforts in place to protect Uganda’s rhinos. After your tracking adventure, you’ll continue to Hoima Town where you’ll relax and overnight at a local lodge, preparing for the next leg of your safari.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park for Chimpanzee Tracking
After breakfast, you’ll set off on a scenic transfer to Kibale National Park (approximately 5-6 hours’ drive), known for its dense rainforests and incredible primate population. Upon arrival, you’ll head out for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience. Kibale is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees, and the trek allows you to witness these intelligent, playful creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, you’ll return to your lodge where you can unwind and reflect on your memorable encounter with the chimps.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for Batwa Cultural Experience
After breakfast, you’ll depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. En route, enjoy breathtaking views of Uganda’s scenic landscapes. On arrival, you’ll take part in a unique Batwa Cultural Experience. The Batwa people, once forest dwellers of Bwindi, will share their rich cultural heritage with you. Learn about their traditional ways of life, their ancient skills as hunters and gatherers, and their deep spiritual connection to the forest. After this immersive cultural experience, you’ll check into your lodge in Bwindi, where you can relax and prepare for the gorilla trekking adventure the following day.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Today is the highlight of your safari: gorilla trekking in the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off on your trek with an experienced guide. The trek can be physically demanding, but the reward is unparalleled—spending up to an hour with one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families. You’ll witness these magnificent creatures in their natural environment, whether they’re feeding, playing, or interacting with one another. After your trek, return to your lodge to reflect on this life-changing experience.

Day 7: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, you’ll begin the scenic drive back to Kampala (approximately 8-9 hours). Along the way, you’ll pass through lush green landscapes, rural villages, and rolling hills of southwestern Uganda. Upon arrival in Kampala, depending on your flight time, you may have a brief chance to relax or explore the city before being transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight
