Overview
This 4-day chimpanzee trekking safari in Kibale National Park offers an immersive experience in one of Africa’s most diverse rainforests. Known as the “Primate Capital of the World,” Kibale is home to the highest concentration of chimpanzees, along with 12 other primate species, rich birdlife, and lush vegetation. The itinerary combines chimpanzee tracking, crater lakes exploration, and nature walks for a well-rounded experience.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner as you prepare for the safari.

Day 2: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, depart for Kibale National Park in western Uganda. You may stop at the Equator for photos before continuing through scenic countryside and tea plantations. Arrive in the afternoon, check in at your lodge, and have lunch. Later, visit nearby crater lakes or relax at the lodge before dinner.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Walk
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting chimpanzee trekking. Guided by rangers, walk through the forest in search of chimpanzees. Once found, spend time observing their behavior in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk, known for its primates, bird species, and unique vegetation. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Stop for lunch along the way and enjoy the scenic drive. Arrive in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or airport.
