Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional tour guide. Depending on your arrival time, you will enjoy a brief Kigali city tour, giving you insight into Rwanda’s history, culture, and transformation into the “Land of a Thousand Hills.”
After the city excursion, you will embark on a scenic drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, passing through rolling hills, tea plantations, and beautiful countryside landscapes. Nyungwe is renowned for its rich biodiversity, stunning scenery, and unique primate population.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your chimpanzee trekking adventure. Guided by experienced trackers, you will venture into the dense rainforest in search of these fascinating primates.
The trek offers an immersive experience in the forest, filled with the sounds of birds, rustling leaves, and calls of monkeys. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat, watching their behavior and capturing photos.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure, relaxing and enjoying the serene forest environment.

Day 3: Canopy Walk Adventure in Nyungwe Forest
After breakfast, you will set out for the famous canopy walk experience. Suspended 70 meters above the forest floor and stretching 160 meters long, the canopy walkway offers breathtaking views of the rainforest and a unique perspective of the treetops.
The walk is accessed via scenic hiking trails such as the Igishigishigi Trail, where you may encounter butterflies, orchids, and a variety of colorful bird species, many of which are endemic to the Albertine Rift.
