Day 1: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast for your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Masaka-Mbarara highway. Stop at the Equator for photos and continue to Mbarara for lunch. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth, passing through beautiful landscapes of rolling hills, crater lakes, and lush vegetation. In the late afternoon, enjoy a brief wildlife drive in the park, where you’ll see various species. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Ride on the Kazinga Channel
Wake up early for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife, including Uganda kob, buffaloes, lions, and elephants. The drive lasts for about 4 hours. Afterward, return for lunch and embark on an afternoon boat ride along the Kazinga Channel. The boat offers a great opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, and various bird species, such as the African fish eagle and pied kingfisher. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Start your day with an early breakfast, then head to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Afterward, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the rare mountain gorillas. You’ll arrive in the evening, enjoy dinner, and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park
After an early breakfast, prepare for your gorilla trekking experience. Head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Then, embark on a trek through the dense forest to find the mountain gorillas. Once you encounter them, enjoy an unforgettable hour observing these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest and dinner.
Day 5: Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala, with lunch en route. Stop at the Equator for photos and visit local craft shops if you’re interested. You’ll arrive in Kampala late in the evening, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel for dinner and rest.
