Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast in Kampala, begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, passing through the historic Luwero Triangle. Along the way, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking, giving you a chance to see these endangered animals up close. After lunch in Masindi, continue to the park and arrive in the evening. Check into your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in the park’s vast savannah. You may spot elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the way, you will see hippos, crocodiles, and animals gathering at the riverbanks.

Later, visit the top of the falls to witness the Nile forcefully squeezing through a narrow gorge before plunging down dramatically. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart for Kibale National Park, traveling through scenic countryside via Hoima to Fort Portal. You will have lunch along the way before continuing to Kibale, one of Africa’s most beautiful rainforests and home to 13 primate species, including chimpanzees.

Arrive in the evening, check into your lodge, and relax.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Visit

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your chimpanzee tracking experience. Enter the forest with experienced guides and search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Watching them feed, play, and interact is a truly memorable experience.

After lunch, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run area known for its rich biodiversity. You may see other primates such as baboons and monkeys, as well as a variety of bird species.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of rolling hills, terraced farms, and local communities.

Arrive in the afternoon, check into your lodge, and relax or take an optional nature walk.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you will hike through the dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take between 2 to 8 hours depending on their location.

Once you find them, you will spend up to one hour observing and photographing these incredible primates in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to your lodge to relax. You may also choose to visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience.

Day 7: Return to Kampala

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala. You will have a stop for lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre and another stop at the Equator for photos and relaxation.

Arrive in Kampala in the evening, marking the end of your safari.
