Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your safari guide who will brief you about your 12 Days Uganda Primates Trekking and Kenya Beach Holiday. You will then be transferred to your hotel for relaxation. If time allows, you may enjoy a short visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or take a peaceful walk along the shores of Lake Victoria. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda. The journey takes you through scenic countryside, tea plantations, and local communities. You will have a lunch stop in Fort Portal town before continuing to the park. Kibale is known as the primate capital of the world, hosting a wide variety of primate species. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax in preparation for the next day’s trek.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Nature Walk
Begin your day with an early breakfast and head to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing before entering the forest for chimpanzee trekking. You will track a habituated chimpanzee community and observe them as they feed, groom, and interact. Other primates such as red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys may also be seen. After lunch, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk known for its rich birdlife and community-based conservation efforts. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey offers beautiful views of rolling hills, terraced farmland, and rural villages. You may pass through parts of Queen Elizabeth National Park with chances of spotting wildlife along the way. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, and relax as you prepare for the gorilla trekking experience.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will hike through the dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once found, you will spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community to learn about their traditional forest lifestyle, music, and culture.

Day 6: Transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe. You may choose to travel by road, enjoying scenic views along the way with a stop at the Equator for photos and lunch, or opt for a domestic flight for a quicker transfer. Upon arrival in Entebbe, check in at your hotel and relax ahead of your coastal extension.

Day 7: Flight to Mombasa and Transfer to Diani Beach
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Mombasa, Kenya. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Diani Beach, one of Africa’s most beautiful coastal destinations. The beach is known for its white sand, palm trees, and turquoise waters. Check in at your beach resort, relax, and enjoy the ocean views.

Day 8: Diani Beach Relaxation
Spend the day relaxing on the beautiful shores of Diani Beach. You can sunbathe, swim in the warm Indian Ocean, or simply unwind at your resort. Optional activities such as spa treatments or yoga sessions can be arranged for a more rejuvenating experience.

Day 9: Diani Beach Activities
Enjoy a variety of optional water and beach activities. These may include snorkeling, scuba diving, dolphin watching, kite surfing, or a traditional dhow cruise. You can also explore nearby attractions such as Shimba Hills National Reserve or local markets. Return to your resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Diani Beach Leisure Day
