Upon arrival at Murchison Falls National Park, you check into your lodge and unwind as you enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Uganda’s largest national park.

Day 2: Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise

Start the day with an early morning game drive across the northern savannah plains. This area is rich in wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, and a variety of bird species.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. Along the way, you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife along the riverbanks. Later, visit the top of the falls to witness the powerful Nile squeezing through a narrow gorge before crashing down with incredible force.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you travel southwest toward Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal, enjoying scenic views of tea plantations, rolling hills, and rural landscapes along the way.

Arrive in the afternoon and check into your lodge near the forest. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for your chimpanzee trekking adventure.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Visit

Begin the day with a briefing at the park headquarters before entering Kibale Forest in search of chimpanzees. The trek takes you through dense rainforest as you follow the calls and movements of these intelligent primates.

Once located, you spend a magical hour observing them feed, groom, and interact in their natural environment.

In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area known for its primates and rich birdlife.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

The drive takes you through Uganda’s scenic southwestern highlands, with beautiful landscapes and cultural encounters along the way. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your lodge, and relax or take a short guided nature walk.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience

This is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, you head to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the dense forest with ranger guides.

Gorilla trekking can take several hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once found, you are allowed one hour in their presence, observing their behavior and social interactions in the wild.

Return to the lodge for rest, and in the evening, you may opt for a cultural visit to the Batwa community.

Day 7: Return to Kampala / Entebbe

After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Along the way, stop at the Equator for photos and souvenirs, and enjoy lunch en route before arriving in the evening.
