Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe & Transfer to Kampala

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on arrival time, you may relax or take a short city tour. Overnight in Kampala.

Day 2: Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot—the only place in Uganda to see wild rhinos. After lunch, continue your journey towards Murchison Falls area for overnight stay.

Day 3: Explore Murchison Falls National Park

Start with a morning game drive in the northern sector where you may spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls, followed by a visit to the top of the falls for breathtaking views.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park (Bigodi Wetland Visit)

After breakfast, depart for Kibale National Park via Fort Portal. Enjoy scenic views of tea plantations and the Rwenzori Mountains. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk known for primates and birdlife. Overnight near Kibale.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park

After an early briefing, head into Kibale Forest for chimpanzee trekking. Spend time observing these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. The forest is also home to several monkey species and birds. Return to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with scenic views along the way. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife. Overnight in the park.

Day 7: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After a morning game drive, travel through the Ishasha sector, where you may spot the famous tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After briefing, begin your gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Forest. Trekking can take several hours, but the reward of encountering mountain gorillas is unforgettable. Spend one hour observing them before returning to your lodge.

Day 9: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park & Golden Monkey Trekking

Cross into Rwanda and head to Volcanoes National Park. Depending on timing, enjoy golden monkey trekking in the bamboo forests. These playful primates offer a unique and lively experience. Overnight near the park.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early briefing, set out for gorilla trekking in Rwanda. The terrain here is different from Bwindi, offering a new trekking experience. Spend time observing another gorilla family before returning to your lodge.

Day 11: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest & Chimpanzee Trekking

Drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of Africa’s oldest rainforests. Participate in chimpanzee trekking or enjoy a forest walk. Nyungwe is also known for canopy walks and diverse primate species.

Day 12: Transfer to Akagera National Park

After breakfast, travel to Akagera National Park in eastern Rwanda. This scenic journey takes you through rolling hills and countryside. Arrive and relax at your lodge in preparation for the next day’s safari.

Day 13: Game Drive in Akagera & Transfer to Kigali

Enjoy a morning game drive in Akagera, Rwanda’s only Big Five park. Spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and antelopes. Later, drive to Kigali for overnight stay.

Day 14: Kigali City Tour & Departure

After breakfast, explore Kigali with visits to key sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and cultural centers. Later, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
